We've had only 4 days of rain since starting our trip and since arriving in Austria last evening it has done nothing but rain. As we are high up in the mountains and the clouds it is expected. Think of Julie Andrews in The Sound of Music and you get the picture of this beautiful country. We are in a tiny village and have just been talking to the cows. Only 6 in the "herd" and they are housed at night, they seem happy and are in very good condition . Because they are handled so much they are very friendly. Milk is for sale at the shed.

Tomorrow we are heading off to find the Danube River and then heading west again towards Salzburg and Lichtenstein and Switzerland before heading back to the :Med". We've gone from 40 to 10 degrees in about 4 hours and are now back wearing jeans, gloves and jackets. Wouldn't change it for the world. We'll be back into hot weather in about 3 weeks.
