Aug 30 We headed back into Cleveland this morning. It was warm today, mid to high 20's with a few showers early and again after 4pm. We decided to spend the day at the Great Lakes Science Centre. We set off this morning for Cleveland taking the long way round, just for a change lol Dodging the tolls on the interstate we took some dodgy back roads around Toledo and got stuck at a railway crossing for a quarter hour when a huge goods train stopped halfway blocking the crossing. We spent today at the Toledo Zoo and aquarium. The aquarium side was ok but not fabulous. The zoo in the other hand was really good. Many of the big mammal displays were semi open vs behind fences which is always good. There are several bird areas some of which had the birds free for us to roam in, awesome. The sun has come out today which was an awesome birthday present! It's still cool, around 19C but the sun is shining, the butterflies are everywhere and the cicadas are singing so all is well with the world again.
