It's the first of Oct, less than a week left of this years wanderings left now :-( We set off quite early for Big Bend Park. Ah Texas, over 20C by 7am lol We woke early thanks to a previous occupant having left the alarm set at 6am. Deciding to get an early start we got up and had breakfast, Pete's waffle was in the shape of Texas! Very cool lol. We were on the road as the sun was rising. It was a much shorter run down to Fort Worth today. The first few roads we went down were note worthy in that the shoulder grass strips were full of freshly dug holes but no sign of the critters responsible. Oil and gas is clearly a huge industry in Ok with lots of installations both large and small. We saw very long trains pulling only oil tankers. Some of wind farms go further than we could see.
