Just for a change it was raining this morning lol
We left our hotel and headed north. Passing the twin cities we could see little through the dense clouds and heavy rain.
Past the city we found ourselves again passing lush fields and corn fields accompanied all the way by grey skies and rain.
After the warm temps of the first phase of this years holiday it's now like our winter temps, 10-18C most days. The shorts and thongs have given way to jeans and trainers.
Even with the grey skies it's still a dramatic arrival in Duluth with the big bridge and the lake.
We checked into our room and had some lunch and a bit of a relax. A few friends were putting us onto some fellow reef nuts who live here and one sent a message with his phone number so we called and are catching up with him tomorrow so that should be good, some local knowledge is always handy.
We went for a drive and a wee walk on the waterfront. The rains mostly stopped but it's still very cool
Grandmas saloon and grill beckoned and the food was very good, the schooners of cider were too!
