Another day of replacing lol
I had a brain wave this morning, we could pack all the stuff we drag back and forth into the esky which we also bring each year and ask a mate of we can leave it with the. For the next ten months til we are back. First request we sent out was to Scott Feldman and almost instantly we got a message reply that that was no problem at all. Yay! More room now to take some stock when we see one of our suppliers today :-)
It was a fairly easy day, breakfast about 9 and then we set off to see Tom. It was a productive catch up, we bought a fair bit that will work out a lot cheaper than having it shipped, assuming we don't go overweight and have to pay excess baggage of course.
From Toms we went staring to a Ross's store and picked up the extra suitcase we now need, a rolling duffle that we hope will fit in one of the other cases to bring over in the same way we do the grey expensive duffle.
From there a target store to buy the last bits for dinner tonight, chicken and some corn on the cob.
The traffic wasn't too bad either way, about an hour both times. It's not been a sunny day bit the rain seemed to mostly hang on the hills with just a few spots falling on is as we got back into town.
Approaching LA we went under a bridge which had a row of homeless people's tents on it. That reminded me, yesterday when we walked to the shops we saw the same guy who slept on the footpath across from last years room. He's done some serious upgrades in the last 12 months, he now has a tent and even a palm in a pot lol he's also now got a neighbour a few feet along who's also camping out in a tent.
Not sure what it's all about but we passed a park full of huge beach balls....
Back at the hotel we did our third repack and finally think we've got each of the four suitcases down to the correct weight.
We basically kicked back and took it easy, psyching ourselves up for the long haul home tomorrow night.
