I've literally only been here 24 hours and I have already fallen in love with Thailand!!

Today has been the most fantastic day. A Japanese girl has had the pleasure of my company (for all her sins!) but despite her broken English and my non existent Japanese it has been great to have a companion for the day (beats sightseeing on your own!)

We started off with breakfast come lunch in a Thai Market costing 30 Baht (50B = £1)

Then we went on a riverboat north to Chang pier. This is where we visited the Grand Palace which consists of many ancient buildings and the temple of Emerald Buda.

After that we took a walk to Kao San Road (where all the main nightlife exists in Bangkok) and returned back to the hostel via tuc tuc (a great way of travelling)

Later I will partake in a Thai massage (with no happy ending before you jump to conclusions!!) and then may take a look at a bar on top of a sky scraper building (Sirocco Sky Bar).

Tomorrow I have enrolled on a Thai cookery class.

I really feel I've died and gone to heaven I like it here that much (and this is only day 1!!!)
