Greetings from Bangkok!
I have safely and surely touched down in Bangkok and am currently taking the train to the hostel in the Silom district.
Flight was painless (my first ever flight that didn't involve a British airport). I was chatting to a lady from Shanghai which passed the journey in no time.
I flew through immigration. As a British citizen I didn't have the hassle of completing a "visa on arrival" form (rule Britainia!!)
Bag was out of reclaim in no time and before I knew it I was on the Airpot train link. I need to change where I'll get a sky train to my hostel.
Sounds like a hassle, but it is by far the cheapest way to get there (costing approximately £1)
Nothing more to report, I'm looking forward to settling in and I now have 3 months to roam freely before I depart from Singapore to Sydney.
