Today is my last day in Beijing before I hit the night train for Shanghai.

In the last couple of days I've visited the Forbidden City and the Summer Palace, both very beautiful scenic places to visit.

I haven't eaten anything crazy since my visit to the night market, I don't want to overdo it on the scorpion!! I have been to various restaurants seeing how cheap I can eat for.

A lad from Cardiff called Alex introduced me to a place which does a full meal for 60-90p and large 660ml beers for 50p each. I've also found plenty of places that sell fresh dumplings for 50-60p.

Alex & I were chatting to some Israeli Girls; Umba, Aadvak and Lotem. (clearly that's not how you spell their names but thats what it sounds like).

We all went out for drinks last night. It was a real cheap night as we were buying large beers off the street for 50p and then going in the bars to dance. I know this sounds real tight, but some things have to be done when you're on a budget. And the street was buzzing too.

What I find great is how many likeminded people you find when you go travelling. Everyone is looking to cut corners and maximise their experience so you're all in the same boat.

However this will be where I say bye to one group of friends and hello to another.
