Matt and Ant's Travels
Today luckily the weather was on our side and so once again we hire a boat from the rent a boat people hoping that this time we wouldnt crash it! We set off pretty early and arrived at the little island of Nuku after navigating our way through very shallow water. Why they let inexperienced people out on their boats i really dont know its not the safest thing in the world. We spent most of the day at our very own little bit of paradise. Matt and I spent the time snorkelling and walking round the island and the girls all just sunbathed like usual! Matt and I still cant stay still long enough and with factor 30 on i really dont see the point! It was a really nice day and gave matt and i the chance to spend some time together which in a group of 6 is not the easiest thing to do. We finally headed back to the mainland but stopped at the Japanese gardens once more to do a last little bit of snorkelling which around there is truely spectacular. The amount of fish and the varieties that i have seen is like being in the middle of a picture book. It seems too good to be true at times. We finally got the boat back safe and sound in the evening and set about cooking a huge meal for us and all the friends we had made at the hostel. We had bought a huge chunck of tuna and ended up making a really delicious fish curry which we were really impressed with considering we only have two hobs. The rest of the night was spent playing poker using pasta as chips!
