We slept in this morning. The heat yesterday took a lot out of us. We ate breakfast around 9:00 am. We were going to try to rent bicycles, but found that we would have to go all the way to the visitors center at the front of the park. So instead we boarded a bus and west to headed to Hermits Rest. There are 9 bus stops on the Hermits Rest Trail. You could walk the entire length or take a bus out to the end. We ended up taking a bus the entire way. The round trip for the bus is 80 minutes. When we made it out to Hermits Rest we found a really neat looking hut built into a hill. A gift shop was inside the hut. There were also bathrooms and a snack bar. We walked around, took a few pictures, and picked up some water. Then we boarded a bus to head back to the Village area. Once back at our lodge we hopped in our car and headed towards Las Vegas. We checked into our hotel across the street fort Nellis Air Force Base and rested for a bit. Then we ate dinner at Roberto's Taco Shop and drove the Vegas Strip.
