The day began with a full breakfast at the Maswik Food Court. We had a smooth water rafting excursion booked with Colorado River Discovery. The rafting location was 2 1/2 hours away so we had a bit of a grove ahead of us. We drove from Flagstaff, Az to the south rim of the Grand Canyon today. A worker at the hotel recommended that we drive up through the forests on Hwy 180. She also recommended the National Geographic imax film outside the entrance. We took her up on both suggestions and they did not disappoint. The imax film was great and lasted 20 minutes.
