Southwestern Excursion
We enjoyed seeing the north rim. It had a very different feel than the south rim. It was much more remote, about 45 miles from the nearest town. Since it was at a higher elevation it was cooler. It was in the 70's, which was the coolest weather we'd had all week! There were also pine trees and grass everywhere. It had an alpine feel to it. Another difference was that all the facilities seemed to be in one spot and there seemed to be less people. The view was still beautiful. We watched the sunset from the hotel then ate at the deli. Finally, we piled in the car to head to Page, Az for our hotel for the night. Tomorrow is 4 corners monument and Mesa Verde.
