(DAY 12)

Kia Ora!

We woke up and spent the next few hours amusing ourselves with tales from the previous night before showering and saying our goodbyes. Once we were on the road we headed North out of Westport towards Kaiteriteri, where Louis, Lauren and her family were spending a long weekend on holiday and had invited us to join them. Kaiteriteri is off the tourist track to travellers but is a popular resort for Kiwi's and we hadn't heard of it before being invited along - well, we're pleased we did because Kaiteriteri is beautiful and it was a great place to enjoy the, until now, unseen sunshine.

With our phone not working we arrived in Kaiteriteri at about 4pm, having no means of contact we drove around for a little while and decided to park up next to the beach where we were intending on sending a message via Facebook but as we were pulling up we spotted Louis strolling along the beach! We spent the rest of the day chilling in the sun before heading to the Kaiteriteri Beach Holiday Park and having a shower while Louis and Lauren popped into Motueka to pick up supplies for the night.

Once we were ready, we headed back to where Louis and Lauren were staying - which was amazing with unbelievable views. We enjoyed having a BBQ and a few beers on the balcony overlooking the bay before we headed back to our campervan for the night.
