Valentine's Day! Calvin was still feeling unwell so we had a bit of a sleep in and then hit the road at about 10:30 for the 2 hour drive to Thun. Calvin napped most of the way (he was not the driver by the way). We saw some funny road signs like "Ausfahrt" and w***dorf" on the way. At about 12:30 we arrived at the Airbnb - we have a bedroom in a lovely apartment. We met the Regina, the mum and Sebastian, her 5 year old son when we arrived. Also living there is Klaus, Regina's husband (currently in China on a work trip) and Mattias, their 8 year old son (on a school excursion). We walked into around the main area of Thun surrounded by mountains. We really wanted a Valentine's icecream treat for lunch but we couldn't find any shops that were open. So to curb Kate's hunger we stopped by a little store and bought Lebanese bread and cucumber for lunch and then later on grabbed a smoothie from the supermarket. After a bit more exploring we went to another supermarket to buy some dinner supplies. We then walked home so Calvin could have a sleep. We had home made rice porridge for dinner - Calvin had no appetite so he didn't overly enjoy it but Kate thought it was a great Valentine's dinner!
