As it stormed for most of our time in Koh Tao last time and we loved the island so much we headed back, the sun was back, the sea was crystal blue, so we decided to get quad bikes to explore the island properly, Koh Tao is only 3k by 6k and hardly any cars are on the island so we felt it was safe enough haha. We drove down to all the beachs that were recommended and they are all beautiful, We stopped in "shark bay which was by Shark island" Marcus went and did some snorkeling and to his dispair he saw a shark and he was fairly close to shore!!...we were not aware that shark bay was actually full of sharks, we thought they might just be there at times. We spent a lot of the day driving around the back roads and over the mountains, as it was fun!!!...we headed to the highest point of Koh Tao just before the sunset.
On the second day we had to hand the quad bikes back in around 12pm...Marcus handed his into the guy, with no problem...i hand mine into the girl i got it off...who did not LIKE ME OR THE ENTIRE WESTERN WORLD for no reason!!....she started by moaning we were from England and how we were a stupid nation and we were only here to see Lady boys!!!...Right...."eyes rolling"...to be fair the lady boy show was good!!!...anyways she had my passport, so i couldnt say much back because i just wanted it back in my control and she didnt need winding up anymore she was at boiling point!!...she was so horrible to me, it really upset me i had to walk off and leave marcus to sort it...but being the b**** she was she only wanted to talk to me!! (AVOID JOMS BIKES / in Sariee beach) inside 4p!!....in the end he calmed her down by having to say sorry and kiss her arse for no reason!!! we still had to pay a fine!!..she was so patronizing, all she wanted me to do was say sorry to her and thank her!! Power mad b**** wish we went to the police, afterwards we found out they are very good at helping tourist in these situations.
On the last day we headed over to an island just over the water from Koh Tao with Christa our Canadian friend, it is meant to be in the top 5 most beautiful islands in the world, and it was, it lived up too the expectation, the water was so nice and the islands were all small and connected by a strip of sand, the viewpoint was an almightly challenge in the 39 degree heat!!! we all looked like we had been for a swim once we got to the top but so did about 10 other people so it was all good.
