We arrived in Koh Samui and already we missed Koh Tao, it was busy and just catered for westerns, the town was just multi national brands, Mc Donalds, Boots, Pizza hut...we missed the thai cultured island life. It was storming so bad, so we just sat in the room and watched TV for hours, so i wasnt in the best of spirts.
Only good thing was i needed my roots doing and there was many hair salons here using good brands, so i booked in to one that looked nice, i was a little bit apprehensive because they still didnt speak English that well...they started off by washing my hair, which isnt what they do at home i was worried, they then started putting the hair dye on in thick lumps i knew something was up, this Australian lady come over and told me to leave, she said she couldnt let me go threw with it and i reminded her of her daughter haha, thats when i said i wasnt comfortable and please wash it off, thats when it turned nasty, more and more thai ladys came over, started yelling at me and Debra (the Aussie), demanded i paid in full, i had already handed them over about 10 pounds in a deposit....They started saying i was going to jail and the police were coming, they stood by the door and told me not to leave, the aussie lady just told me to walk out they couldnt stop me, so i made a quick dash for it, looks like il have having bad roots till Oz and no hair extensions GREAT.
The next day we managed to get a few hours on the beach where the rain let up and some sun came out, it put us in a much better mood automatically, unfortunitly the rain came back...we did some shopping on the street markets and got loads good little gifts for people and our selves. We had some drinks out, headed back to the room and as we approached we saw water flooding from the door!!!...Oh no, whats happened...MARCUS has left the tap on, (it wasnt working before we left so was left turned on)...we felt awful because nextdoor were flooded as well..so after the staff came down to check it out, they thought it was the toilet, we let them think that....we had to move rooms of course, but not only did we move to a nice dry room we got upgraded to the beach front villas at a $100 a night!!! as an apology. haha.
On our last day in Koh Samui we decided to take a trip even though it was still raining, we visited a few buddha, temples etc...before we headed over to a zoo to do some elephant trekking, followed by a show, the show was amazing, go look at my pictures to see....Marcus volunteered to join in, firslty by playing football with the elephant, then he layed down on the floor whilst the elephant pretended to step on him!! i was a little scared, they are huge animals!!....later in the day we headed for lunch at a waterfall, followed by going to feed and get photos with a baby tiger!!! it made my whole day it was so cute and such a cool experience.
