Koh Phangan was going to be a highlight of Thailand, this is where the famous fulll moon party takes place, we checked into our hotel at the top of the island miles away from the full moon party beach, but it was so nice, our hotel has an infinitly pool that goes onto the beach. This part of the island was quite a change from everywhere we had been it was very quite and chilled out, it has lots of bars and resturants but its low seaon so half are empty.
The second day we headed down for breakfast at the hotel, the hotel as two dogs and some kittens, me being the dog lover i am was stroking the dog on the beach whilst leaning on a chair, i looked back and saw something green on the chair, i thought it was a green rope....dun dun dun...it wasnt a rope, my greatfest fear has come to life, it was a SNAKE!!!! i was inchs away from it for a good minute or two, i jumped and told the hotel staff, they all tried to capture it to remove it from the hotel, once one of the man had it by its head he decided it would be funny to run at me with it flapping around!!! it was not!!! i have never run so fast my bikini nearly fell down but i didnt care i was outa there.
The next day it was the full moon party evening, the hotel got a little buiser, but not very, we made friends with two girls from London, one was actauly from Wolverhampton like me but hasnt lived there for a long time. It was also Nikkies 30th birthday, so we headed to a bar to start pre drinking, they met this American couple who were here on Business the night before hand, they also joined us a little worse than wear. We paid the hotel to take us down, as soon as we got there we all got a bucket of vodka each, with a small can to go as a mixer, so the drinks were pretty strong, we got painted up and headed into the crowds of thousands of people to dance. ...Later on in the evening we spotted "Mellow Mountain" a famous bar on a hill that sells weed and mushrooms openly, it was FULL of people, we were all drunk and thought we would give the magic mushrooms a go...the two americans had done them many times before and said they were funny..they were the craziest, funniest Americans we had ever met, and considering they were nearly 40 they were wild haha...one was the VP of some Microsoft company, so not what you would expect!...Me and Marcus just shared one as we were not sure what was going to happen, but sadly not much did...we got a bit of a buzz and spaced out, but no colours, but that could of been the 2 bottles of Thailands crazy red bull!!! so who Knows. (sorry mum and dad) haha
We didnt get in till 6am...and then slept in till the following afternoon!! slept most of the hangover off so that was good....days later, we thought we would do elephant trekking again as one last trip because this time it wasnt raining!...and so glad we did, it was so much better and so different from the last one, we got some great photos as well.
