Getting off that plane the cold instantly hit me, just like it does when you get off a hot holiday and arrive back into Manchester...it wasn't nice and i really had not missed it at all. How ever the SUN WAS BACK!! it had been weeks since we had seen a perfectly blue sky. We managed to track down a shuttle that goes into the city which saved us half the taxi fare, the hotel was right in the middle, next to darling harbour, which was great after being out of it in Singapore, soon as we got to the room bags down and straight to sleep as we got none on the flight. We woke up 2 hours later still drained and disorientated but we couldn't sleep all day there really is no time for relaxing and sleeping when you are on a trip like this.
The price of food and drink was the highest we had come across, you couldn't get a can of coke under $3 dollars and that's from a shop, same with water we ended up spending a small fortune on drinks. The next day we headed down to BONDI beach it was cold but it had to be done, certainly was not in my bikini, we walked around the cliffs and down to another beach, we also sat on the beach for a bit, it was a nice beach to be fair, how ever I can imagine in summer it would be packed with people, and that would change my opinion, I hate being around lots of people on a beach…Sydney was so expensive we basically lived off Subways and China town.
The following morning we woke up and looked around the city properly, down to the opera house and the harbour bridge, had a drink down there and paid about $8 a coke haha. The day after it got really cold and even started to rain, so we chilled in the hotel and started drinking our alcohol we got from duty free, nothing else to do but get drunk when the weathers bad, Sydney seemed like our winter, but it was around 21 degrees, I fear how I will cope being back in the UK im meant to live in hot climates I know it. It was Friday night, Danni came over to the hotel to drink before we headed to a bar, it was so nice to see her, she moved to Oz a year and a half ago, she was very emotional bless haha. We met up with my friend from Wales Becky...we ended up in some club full of chinese people, it was funny watching them all dance and drink...cause they cant.
Saturday morning Danni picked us up and drove us to a wildlife zoo to go see some kangaroos, koalas, Tasmanian devils and other aussie animals, it was so much fun and I got to see and feed more animals, loved it!.. Thanks for taking us and paying Danni it was a lovely welcome to Oz present. Later that night we did what we did best headed to Pacha Sydney!! (an amazing club)…we stayed till the lights came on of course, oh and Danni fell in love.
