Zvi Josef's Travels
Woke up to a lovely day today and took two buses, in order to reach the Blue Grotto, which is a lovely place in south Malta, with nice caves and a cliff that drops to the sea violently.
While there, we took a 20-minute boat trip inside the numerous caves - absolutely stunning.
In the distance, we could see Filfila, the tiny islet, just 5 km south of the island itself.
After that we took a bus to Dingli clifs, which are very high clifs over the sea. Unfortunately, buses are terribly unreliable in Malta, so we had to wait over an hour for the next bus to come and pick us up from the observation point we were at. Nothing to do there but gaze at the see and goof around.
After another bus ride, we reached Rabat, which is a good-for-nothing town, but it encircles Madina, which is a lovely little picturesque town with a big wall surrounding it.
We walked the small allies of the town and stopped for a coffee and cake at a local place, inside what was once a palace.
Then started the nightmare of getting back to the hotel - all in all, took over 2 hours - for something like 8 km. One of the buses broke down and those idiots could not send another one instead... . Joy! :)
Anyway, we're back at the hotel to do some lounging and exploring and later we're off to dinner. :)
