Zvi Josef's Travels
After a rather difficult night, we found out that our complimentary breakfast is only available in the club lounge. Oh, well, it was ok. :)
We then returned to rest (both of us did not have a great night sleep) and around noon we got ready and headed to the Jewish Quarter of Prague by bus (at the metro line to this part of town was being repaired).
In the Jewish Quarter, we bought an "all included" ticket for 480 CKZ (apx. 25US$).
The ticket allowed us to enter some 5 synagogues and the famous old cemetary.
While the cemetary was very impressive, most of the synagogues (with the exception of the Spanish one) were a bit disappointing (plus, no photos were allowed...).
After apx. 3 hours, we finished of the self-tour and returned to the hotel by foot for some well deserved rest.
Later this afternoon, we're off to the new part of town, for some more beautiful sights in good ol' Prague.
Happy Sukkot, everyone. :)
21:30 update:
Well, we went to Charles square and looked for the botanical gardens, but they were rather disappointing and it was too late to check out the churches in the area, so we went to Wenceslas square, which is a beautiful place, where we had a nice walk by the numerous stores up to the national museum. We ended up walking to the hotel through the beautifully lit streets of Prague, and after a nice break (again - more food and drink), we'd be off to dinner soon (or room service tonight). :)
