Zvi Josef's Travels
Last night, we saw the forcast for today and it said 19 degrees with some rain showers.
However, this morning, we woke up into a cloudy Beijing sky, but no rain. Oh, yeah, it sure was chilly. :)
Firstly, we went to see the Natural history museum in southern Beijing, which is a nice little public museum, showing some great items such as dinasors bones, other extinct animals and even a semi grotesque exhibition about the human body, that actually include preserves cadavers. Hmmm...interesting. :)
After that, we took a bus ride (yeah, we literally got on a bus, spontenuously) to Ditan park, which was an ordinary park, good for strolling, but nothing more. :)
We're now back in the hotel, resting, and hopefully tonight we'll go out to the Olympic village and see it at night (we didn't do that yesterday because Ami felt a bit sick).
El Al is being an ass about delaying their flight and today, after we already booked our hotel for another night, the local branch of El Al informed us that we are elegable for a free hotel night from them (because of the flight's delay), as long as we stay in a low cost hotel they provide us with. We informed them we have no intention of leaving our hotel, and since they were late in informing us about their hotel, we expect them to reimburse the 150 US$ we're paying for this hotel. Hope they do it. :)
Our wonderfully luxurious trip is soon coming to an end and one can only wonder if we ever get a chance to have another oppulant trip like that. Godspeed... . :)
23:00 update: Just returned from the Olympic village at night. It was beautiful (and freezing...). we got there apx. 30 minutes before all the lights are turned off and it was really nice. They turned off the lights the minute we took our last photo of the evening.
Came back to the hotel and had 2 drinks at the lobby - summarizing a very nice day. :)
