I had planned on going to Hangzhou today, but as I couldn't get a train ticket I took a walk to the French Concession area of Shanghai this morning which is a pretty area with tree lined streets. Visited the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Residance and Fuxing Park and then walked from here to Nanjing West Road to check out the International cinema. There were no English films showing so I headed back to the hostel stopping at the internet cafe on route to catch up with some emails. Many of my students have started mailing me and it is a full time job at the moment to keep up to date with answering them! Spent the evening chatting with Marta and Tanja.
