Today we joined a tour!
We had a maori evening and Steve did a Haka. He was a bit miffed that I didn't get up to do the ladies pom pom dance but I didn't want to get up on stage in my short skirt incase people could see my knickers. he thinks that wouldn't normally stop me- true- its the time of the month (not full moon).
Only men could sit on the front row of the audience and we all had to leave our shoes outside. I sat just behind Steve and the reason he got shirty was that when they asked for the men volunteers I gave him a shove with my feet that pushed harder than I meant so steve was up volunteering and on stage learning the haka. I was so impressed! I video'd it.
Our Hungi? Probably much the same as the foxhunter but we had fun on our table chatting to the others.
Going off to see the geyser errupt was the best thing. We sat on warm stone steps as it got dark and the geyser grew in activity. We watched the stars come out and Guy our tour guide sang us a farewell song. Some of us laid down- well me and Steve and two others as it kept us warmer as we continued to wait for the erruption. It was building.
Hilariously the coach party tour guide said they all had to leave NOW as the coach driver was leaving and they had to miss the highlight! Unbelieveable.
We stayed until the end and got some brill pictures
