We woke with a shock-(not an aftershock)- it was 10 oclock and we had to vacate the pitch by 11! We have found on this trip that on the days we are supposed to get up and going we find it harder to get up than on a normal day when we just chose what to do.
The answer was simple- just before 11 we drove up to reception and parked up. We then used the campsite facilities to get going, have a lovely breakfast in the campsite kitchen and sort out the van.
I have now cracked the driving of this van and can sing along with Steve to his songs with gusto. Its only when he thinks countiing backwards in sevens from a hundred is a good game that I tell him I have to conentrate. I have to say "get lost" when he starts 'a million and one green bottles (of beer) hanging on the wall. I try but I sadly cannot verbalise 1000,000 minus 1 in a song and change into newly discovered 3rd gear whilst going up a very steep hill with a huge wagon trying to get up close and personal behind us. Only Steve is that cool.
We have arrived at a beautiful site in Murcheson about 3 hours south of Nelson. As usual when the amazing finds come our way- we fall asleep.
