Today we fly out of Auckland and leave New Zealand. We are looking forward to getting home to see the kids and the journey does not phase us as we are experienced travellers.
We suddenly realise the truth of what our helicoptor pilot told us- we are being treated as battery hens. We are supposed to go to sleep when the lights go down and wake up as they put them on again to feed us. Me and Steve are rebelling and staying awake.
It took 3 days to get to New Zealand but we are flying against the time zones now so it only takes one day. However we get about 2 meals on each flight and I get fed up of being given fresh fruit salad- its all I get for one meal so I complain. At least on the bright side I will not get a DVT- I am spending lots of time getting to the loo. I could power this jet with methane.
I did fall asleep once but woke myself up with the most gianormous snore I have ever heard. Even Steve heard it wearing headphones, listening to a movie sitting 2 seats away.
After very short stop overs in Brunei and Dubai we arrive back at Heathrow and Sam is there to meet us, Hooray!!
We have piled on the layers of clothes and are not cold so we are still having fun. England is beautiful in snow.
