The following day we woke in a slightly warmer climate than the previous day. Had breakfast and headed off at about 8am. I again wore my flip flops as the blisters were still hotter than the sun. We were a lot lower than the previous day, about 2500 m.a.s.l I think so the walk was easier breathing wise how ever because it was humid down there it was really wet. This meant slippery rocks and sticky bogs to contend with which isn't easy in the flip flops. Despite that the walk was really nice. The scenery was amazing and it was just generally the best days trekking to date. We made it to lunch and chilled there for an hour or so before playing a bit of two on two football with some local Peruvians. For some reason after lunch we had to get a bus to camp, I guess it was too far or something but that took about 2 hours. Once there it was raining a bit so we all helped set up camp and then got ready to be taken to the hot springs. Once we got to the springs the rain had gone and sun was trying to shine through. I took me about 1 minute to get in, change, and dive into the hot springs, much to the anger of the more conservative bathers. They were amazing, not sure if they were amazing just because I hadn't showered in days but either way, I was warm and getting clean. Perfect! We stayed there for a good 3 hours. Papas was the last out and we headed back to the camp for tea and dinner. The campsite had organized a little bonfire and disco in the evening so we had a few beers and went to that after dinner. No one was really there apart from team Pat who actually left after half an hour, whinging and ACTUALLY putting his hands over his ears like a little baby. When it got to basically just me and dice we headed into town to find a bar. We had about 150 sole left which was loads. We found a bar /club thing full of gringos and stayed there until close chatting about our different treks. Afterwards we headed back to camp and went to bed, amazing how easy it is to get to sleep in an uncomfortable tent when you have a few beers inside you.
