Last week has been quite easy with the exams and deadlines, so we did have the chance to try some new beer and to explore places to go for drinking.
On Tuesday I had my presentation for Money and Banking and I think it went pretty well. The teacher didn't give us a grade yet, but he said that it was good. The exam for this course, by the way, will be very difficult, maybe most difficult of all the exams. That's because it is about Money and Banking and we're studying Mechanical Engineering. The topics that we covered during this course was defintely more than just an introduction because he expected us to already know something about finance and money. So let's see about the exam in two weeks.
To celebrate that we've had our presentations we bought some beer from our university. One of the majors of this university is beer making and they're brewing their own beer. As a student or teacher you can buy this beer. So we tried it and it was really good. The best Chinese beer that I have tried so far. And to prepare for the exam on Thurday we went to a bar run by an Iranian guy. There we've tried some Heineken and it was actually good, not the import beer.
On Sunday we went to the city, to Jinan, and to the Buddha mountain. On this mountain is a 20 meter tall golden Buddah and the view from the city is quite nice. Unfortunately when we were there it was pretty polluted so we couldn't see the whole city. We went up the hill by cable cart and we were walking downhill. On the way back to the bus we saw that there was a Munchener Hofbrauhaus. We were curious and went in there and it looks like the one in Germany. Also the beer there tastes like the German beer and was really good. It felt like we were back in Europe for a while, because we were also eating German sausages and potatoes. But then when we went outside we were back in China.
