What can I say about today? The classes were completely different than yesterday, but my evening program was more or less the same.
Again I had two classes today, 'Computer Controlling Technology' and 'Money and Banking'. I am actually still wondering why we are having this second class. It doesn't really have anything to do with Mechanical Engineering. The good thing was that both speak spoke English very well. One of them was living in Canada for almost ten years and the second one studied and taught in New Zealand and Australia for many years.
In the Computer Controlling Technology class we started with an introduction and it seems like we will have a more in depth explanation of the theory of a few practical courses that we've had in Saimia, our home university in Finland. The Money and Banking was actually very interesting even though it isn't really in our field of study. The teacher speaks very fast and uses a lot of banking terms, so it takes quite some effort to follow the course. Still it seems like and interesting course.
In the evening I went again to the English corner, which is the place where local students can learn English by just talking to each other. I went there together with one other student from Finland, but not from the same city. We both our own group and the students could ask us all sorts of question. Then of course we jumped from one subject to another and were talking there for two hours.
It is very good to see how motivated everyone is to learn English. These were the intermediate level students so they already knew quite something. So having a conversation was rather easy. For them it was really something extraordinary to talk to a foreigner and they were all very curious about Europe and The Netherlands and Finland. Oh yes, of course I was on many photos again.
On my way back home I went out eating dumplings with the Finnish student. I had dumplings with beef and some spicy chili-sauce. That was a nice meal. Then I went back home and another day had passed.
