We arrived at Meekatharrra yesterday and as Ross needed to see the Western Bulldogs game we had to book into the caravan park in order to use electricity fo receive Foxtel. He is not very happy with his team this morning.
Least said about the park the better, but in the outback you take what you get with a smile and as I said previously the supermarket is great.
We stayed at a free camp on Saturday night. The Fortesque River Southern Branch, it was very nice with a ton of room for everyone and there were lots of caravanners who spent the night there. We were visited by a friendly bull who lived there. he spent his days eating grass and drinking water from the river. He seemed pretty docile, but had very long horns so didn't like to get too close. He had no companions so how he got there is a mystery, but perhaps there was a cattle station near by. Who knows? This part of the country is so vast andin that spott there were so many large shrubs you wouldn't know what was just close by.
