Three days at Cobar were very pleasant. It is a large caravan park with loads of space between caravans It was very pleasant and restful. We found the time to do the washing in our twin tub, to go for walks around the park and to go to the shops for a few supplies, as well as plenty of time for reading and relaxing. We are on our way to Port Hughes to use a voucher purchased in September 2019, which was good to be used within the next twelve months. We planned to spend some of the heat of summer on the seaside in South Australia, but Covid 19 struck the world and the rest is history. So here we are, after the caravan park agreed to extend the voucher to November, on our way, following SA Health Department directions to "not set foot in Victoria" for the previous 14...

Blog is now fixed but we decided to come home early after a great visit to the gulf country. As for the NQ coast Weather was cooler than expected, caravan parks were full or very crowded and no time to change plans and head west, so better luck next year for our long trip, but there will be shorter trips before then.

We set off in convoy at 10am Monday 18th February to head to our first stop and overnight camp at Holbrook 159kms from home. When we arrived at Holbrook and pulled into the park we had booked for the night we were very disappointed. it was not looked after very well at all and looked so depressing that we decided to ring Tumut and see if we could come a day early.
