RolPol
On our way out of Assisi we found markets! …but we were looking forward to being in Florence (and didn’t have room for any items in our luggage!) so we made a quick stop for cash and headed off. On our way to Florence: Florence: (This dude is about to make a phone call and was texting earlier!) The streets of Florence are narrow – scoots seem to be able to squeeze through though! Ros found accommodation for the night – we made sure we had a washing machine available as it was time to give our clothes (and Pol’s Vibrams) a proper wash – hand washing doesn’t work so well!... Ros wondered where her lip balm had gone for the last couple of days – her lips were getting wind burn and no balm was in sight…we found it! After a quick nap we headed out in the late afternoon sun – We found a market! There was the smell of leather in the air – and almost every second market stall was selling leather goods, mostly by foreigners. Florence has so many leather goods shops - all we could smell was leather around some shopping parts of Florence!! Dinner for Pol and a beer for Ros. Florence Food Market. Not many people were there at around 6pm – Europeans in this part of town seem to eat late!!! (Fiume Arno – This river is a popular attraction…it was absolutely packed with people!) (People around us also taking selfies!) (Ros – looking at the ever surrounding artwork and historical buildings!) This dude’s top box is big! We headed back to the apartment for an early night!
