Day 45 Ko Phi Phi
We got an early boat to Ko Phi Phi, and arrived around 10am. It is absolutely beautiful. Turquoise coloured sea, and really really white sand. Arrived in our hotel which is very basic, and the bathroom smells, but its good enough for us.
Went down to the beach, very busy but so nice. We both had really big salads for lunch, and then went for walk through the streets, which are just clothes shops after clothes shops!! Rog however, even after our massive lunch had four spring rolls-the fatty!
We booked a boat trip for the next day, which was supposed to cost us a 1000 Baht for two, but the lady gave Rog 500 Baht back-result!
We went out for dinner to The Garlic 2 Restaurant (we were hoping for lots of garlic), really good food.
Day 46
Free breakfast in hostel, which consisted of 2 slices of toast each, we ordered more- surprise! Then went to the place where we booked our boat trip, chose our fins and were given 1 bottle of water each. The boat trip lasted all day and it took us around all the little islands off Ko Phi Phi. We followed the guy to the boat terminal, he cycled and we walked very quickly behind him. We ended up down some alley way, where we were told to sit underneath the jetty. Two little boys came out of there house and started playing by us. They were really cute and were loving there 3D glasses which were massive for them, plus there balloon which had numerous holes in, which they both tried to keep blowing up!!
After climbing into the boat we headed out to sea, where we snorkeled for a bit, which was brilliant. We both saw some amazing fish, we've never seen anything like it and they all just swim around you, or into you. The best beach of the day, and actually ever was on Bamboo Island. This was incredible, like paradise! We had lunch here, and swam in the sea for a bit, it was so good.
After Bamboo Island we went to Mosquito Island, where we snorkeled for a bit more. We both got bitten by these tiny little fish. We thought it was just us, but everyone else soon started jumping out- weird! We also weren't warned about the sea erchants, which could have caused some pain, had we knocked into them.
Then onto Monkey island for one last snorkel before heading onto Ko Phi Phi Lay. Rog was followed by an electric eel, which kept on swimming by his groin, so he s*** himself and had to climb out.
The fruit including in our package was lovely but the longtail driver appeared to eat most of it! When we got to Ko Phi Phi Lay and Maya beach, it wasn't disappointing in the slightest and was beautiful to have seen - no Leo for Emma though. In rained a little whilst we were there but it didn't spoil it. In the evening we hit an all can you eat hard. The menu prices were divided between women, lady boys and men. Ate way too much but with no regrets despite feeling ill afterwards - nice! We both felt chilled and full, a brilliant way to round up the day.
