Hey after taking the ferry from Wellington down to the south island. The ferry journey was really nice on a huge boat and the nearer we got to the south island the better and better the views were getting, we both think we are really going to love the south island.

When we arrived in Nelson itself we went to a looking point at the top of the hill which is the centre point of NZ. The views of Nelson were really nice and the steep walk was definately worth it.

On the journey down we stopped off at beautiful lakes (pictured) and then went swimming in the lakes and jumping from huge waterfalls and piers etc.... The weather hasn't been that great and the water was so much colder than we imagined, sometimes to the point where it took your breath away from you!!!

Hope all is well back home and we are now looking forward to what our driver called the "best drive in the whole of NZ" and then on to the best bar/hostel in the whole of NZ!!
