Hey guys. rather than spending our last 4 days in the worst place in the whole of NZ (Auckland) we decided to head up north to the bay of islands and the most northern tip of NZ. Plus we had heard the weather was pretty sweet up there!

When we arrived the weather was perfect and the place had a nice beach which was the 1st we had seen since OZ really. After strolling around and relaxing on the beach we sat in the hostel and watched a movie and just did nothing as we had an early morning planned for heading to cape reinga the most northern point.

The journey up was quite long and the scenery was knowhere near as good as the rest of the country but we stopped off at this bee colony and we saw the queen bee and learnt some stuff about bees...exciting stuff i know bet you wish youe here right???

When we arrived we headed for the sand dunes to go sandboarding...this was so so much fun and we both loved it hannah had 1 go and i had 4. The northern most tip where the pacific and tasman seas clash was pretty cool and we went for a swim on a nice beach.

Our last day in NZ was spent back in Auckland doing some boring but essential stuff (haircuts, shopping, blog writing etc....) All in all we have loved NZ and will really miss the place and the people we have met here. Next stop Fiji for some much needed relaxation and sun. Take care everyone Rich and Hannah x
