After visiting cafe 43 last night and having a lovely welcome and great food we returned at lunch time today for a cooking lesson. We arrived in Hoi An at lunch time, the weather is much cooler at the moment not what we are used to and the area is catching the tail end of the typhoon. The 9th December was our last full day in Ho Chi Minh so we decided to spend the day in the city sight seeing and buying a few necessities for our train journey from here to Hoi An. Our train leaves at 7.30pm Wednesday evening arriving at midday on Thursday. It should be an interesting experience. Monday 8th December was an early start with a 06.40 pick up. A short drive to the Saigon River and then a 75 minute speed boat ride to the Cu Chi tunnels so you are not stuck in the early morning grind to work. The real bonus was that there were only the two of us on the trip and getting there so early meant we were the first people through the door, no one else came about one hour.
