The 9th December was our last full day in Ho Chi Minh so we decided to spend the day in the city sight seeing and buying a few necessities for our train journey from here to Hoi An. We arrived in Vietnam Friday afternoon to find Christmas had beaten us to the hotel. After settling in we went for a walk around the local area but found the hotel is quite away from the city centre with not many restaurants or shops. Today we went on a tour of the city the War Remnants Museum was enlightening, quite a few of the city buildings have French architecture due to the French colonising Saigon a few hundred years ago.
