We moved onto Hue this morning. Very sad to leave beautiful Hoi An and wave goodbye to the lovely people at the Riverside Hotel. We made the journey of 80km by car over the mountain pass and the views were spectacular even in the mist and slight rain.

Arrived at the Imperial Hotel to find that is is classed as a five star hotel in Veitnam so may have to up our game from the more relaxed style we've slipped into. Our room is very comfortable and a bit grand on the 12th floor with views over the river. Temperatures are down to about 10 degrees and drizzling so we dug out our cold weather gear and headed on out.

After walking for a couple of hours to get the lay out of the city and planning our sight seeing for tomorrow we found our restaurant for dinner, chosen from trip advisor and rated as number two on the places to eat recommendations. It was wonderful to walk into a warm and welcoming restaurant with Christmas songs playing, the Christmas tree up and a real fire in the fireplace - just like home!
