Wednesday 10th December was spent around the hotel having a leisurely day preparing for our 17 hour train journey to Danang station and then a transfer to Hoi An.
We had read varying reports on the train journey, some people raved about it but the majority hated it however we decided to try it for ourselves. We did take the precaution of booking the whole cabin which cost a total of £72 each. We were not really confident of getting much sleep, however the train left smack on time at 7.30pm and by 9pm Dave was asleep.
The train stopped a couple of times through the night which we were aware of finally waking from our slumber at 9am.
A Breakfast of pastries,coffee and other nibbles helped set us up for the day.
This has definitely given us confidence for our next train journey a mere 12 hours!!
