Colleen & Tom's Explorations
Slept in today and found breakfast very crowded. We wandered down to the Department store - it's closed for Easter, so we withdrew some cash and waited at the tour office.
The tour was good - took us by the all the above listed places, and more!!! The Place du Pantheon is where Marie Curie and other famous people are buried. We finished at the Eiffel Tower where we were given tickets for the tower and our Bateaux Parisiens tickets for the river cruise.
The Eiffel Tower was great - freezing cold but great. the view over the city was magnificent and we didn't have to line up (group tickets). When we finished there we wandered over to the river bank, bought a hot dog each and lined up for the cruise. We were at the front of the line, so we had front row seats - great view!! the 1 hour cruise was great - right down to Canal St Martin and back.
When we finished it was too late to consider a musee, so we went back to the hotel, freshened up and went out for an Asian dinner around the corner for a total of Ff90 (about $25).
