Friday 5th September -
I woke up this morning and felt like the luckiest person in the world! The sun was shining, I was on an island in the Whisundays and I was about to spend another day on the boat and snorkelling in the sea...
We were given a lay-in this morning until 07:30, with breakfast being served at 08:00. I had a bowl of cereal and a cup of tea.
We made our way down to the dock to be collected and took a two hour cruise to Hook island (another island in the Whisundays). I thought I would take advantage of the sun, and decided to sunbathe on the top deck (above the skipper) with Claire. We definately caught some rays today! It was lovely.
We arrived at Hook Island and all jumped overboard with our snorkelling gear on to find the most amazing fish. We were snorkelling for a couple of hours.
We boarded the boat and I decided to jump overboard, rugby tackling an Irish guy and taking him down with me! It was hilarious and before we knew it, everyone on the boat was lined up and jumping in together.
I had my first (alcoholic) drink at 12:00 midday. I tought this was pretty good, considering every man on the boat had been drinking since boarding the boat at 08:30!
I was getting myself a drink and, if anyone could do it, it would be me... I found a hole on the back of the boat and lost my leg down it, whilst moving! It was so funny and I managed to provide ten mintes of entertainment to EVERYONE on the boat. It took me a few minutes to get back up too!
We sailed back to the Abel Point Marina in Airlie Beach. After three days at sea, I had seen some spectacular beaches and fish and met some awesome people, who I shall be meeting up with when I get back home!
