Early start this morning to catch the train. We’ve learnt that maybe Navajo should get up earlier with Cecilia!

We packed some towels and sunblock into our bags, picked up Greta and headed into Parma train station. We made it onto the first train fine with a 2 hour trip and with a rush and 2 minutes to spare we got onto the second train in La Spezia to Monterosso seaside.

We arrived and the first thing we could see was the sea, and with a quick stop for some food we headed down to the beach.
We spent the day lying on the beach and a lot of swimming! Navajo and I had a wee thing going on where every time we got in the water we had to swim to the buoy. There was a lot of swimming and cold showers - though the shower water was very very cold! We only managed to let about 20 minutes max out of the water at one time.

Not many photos were taken as it was too bright to see our phones and easier to keep them in our bags.

At 5:30pm it was time to head back upstairs to the train station and head home. Didn’t have far to walk as the place is so small the train station is literally just upstairs from the beach! In no time at all we were home again, and having more pasta for dinner!

Early nights all round as the sun had wore us out!
