Navajo and I are off on our first trip together overseas. First stop is in England, then onto Italy for a few weeks, with unplanned adventures. The way home we have a day and night in London again and then a night and day in Los Angeles for the final stop of the trip before coming back again and ready to start semester 2 off.

Day twenty five - Los Angeles: After hoping for a bit of a sleep in we were both wide awake talking at 5:30am after I accidentally woke navajo up - I was wide awake from 2:10am after waking up…

Rebecca England Favourite thing: Seeing Caroline and Molly! Also Rich and Holly’s wedding. Least favourite: Not getting to see Caz and Molly on the way back. Surprised me the most: How narrow the roads are in south England. Italy Favourite thing: Seeing my family again and getting to spend time with them. Least favourite: How late they eat and stay up. Surprised me the most: How many issues and delays etc. that their trains have. London Favourite thing: Getting to watch the changing of the guards. Least favourite: How sore my hip was and walking 22km on it. Surprised me the most: The set up and extreme amount of scaffolding on Big Ben. Los Angeles Favourite thing: Walking down the beach and the streets. Least favourite: The amount of drugs there. Surprised me the most: Their average rent is $5,000 NZD a month!

Navajo England Favourite thing: Driving on the narrow roads/lanes- when we came across the large group of people who were out for a walk Least favourite: Not having any service when I went to pick up the Adams family from the wedding. As soon as I finally found them I had service Surprised me the most: How low the ceilings are in the pubs Italy Favourite thing: Our time in Verona. A great night with two New Zealanders, two Italian girls and two Irish girls Least favourite: Driving through the roundabouts Surprised me the most: They eat near to no vegetables London Favourite thing: Going up the London Eye and looking out over London Least favourite: Walking 20km+ with a sore heel Surprised me the most: Out if the whole area of London we managed to bump into Yonni while he was out for a run and we were sightseeing Los Angeles Favourite thing: Going to see Toy Story 4 Least favourite: Smashing my Bubba Gump shot glass Surprised me the most: The cleanliness of the air compared to New Zealand
