This morning we left the Cloud Forest with an elevation of 4700 ft and drove around Lake Arenal arriving in La Fortuna at Arenal Volcano with an elevation of 1400 feet. We left The beaches for the rainforest today arriving mid-afternoon. The roads were a bit challenging when we got closer to Monteverde. The temps are much cooler here at the higher elevations and it rains 320 days a year. The views are spectacular from our hotel room. We had a really fun day! This afternoon we went on a sailing/snorkeling/sunset cruise. It was great to get out on the water and we were happy with the fish we saw. The food and drinks were plentiful so fun was had by all. The sunsets are beautiful here. In the evening we attended the gala at the hotel. It was pretty amazing with tables and tables of food.
