We started our day with an early morning tour to the Monteverde Cloud Forest. We spent about 4 hours walking through the forest with a guide who helped identify plants and the interesting Eco system of the cloud forest. We went to the humming bird feeding station and saw MANY different species. There are over 50 different species in Costa Rica with some quite large and some smaller than we have in MN.
This afternoon we went on a canopy / zipline tour of the forest. It was the most exhilarating / frightening / exciting thing I have ever done. It included rappelling, a "superman" cable which meant hands free and the most exciting was a "Tarzan Swing" which had a 148 foot drop off a platform and a swing of 295 feet in diameter. I really still can't believe we did it but we had a blast!
We finished our day with dinner at "Sofia's" which was noted in our Costa Rica books as one of the best restaurants and it was fabulous.
