The Lord Whisky Cyclo-Sportive
This was the Lord Whisky's first attempt at running a Cyclo-Sportive and it was a great success. Over 150 rides took part, including John (E)and Rebecca, who completed the 110km ride and Ruth, Adonis and Peter who did the 80km ride. Organisation was perfect and everyone was very friendly. The organisers were very pleased with the event and seemed keen to do it all again next year. So, put it in your diary for the same time next year and let's see if the Ragstones can double our numbers.
The 80km route was took us to Appledore, Brookland, Brenzett - then up Lympne Hill! There were so many riders sitting on the wall at Shepway Cross that there was no room for the Ragstones! After that the final climb up Longage Hill, Lyminge seemed easy!
The Ragstones would like to thank the Lord Whisky for an excellent day.
Sorry there are no pictures but the author was too busy pedalling his bike. For more information on the Lord Whisky, go to www.lordwhisky.com
