What an opportunity for a ride! Peter's Land Rover was having a service in Aylesford and, instead of a courtesy car, Peter put his bike in the boot and cycled home. It was 45 miles, some bad to start with (signage of the Pilgrims Way in Maidstone is awful) but then a long section of the Pilgrims Way from Denton to Hollingbourne was excellent. After a long climb in Hollingbourne there was a 10 milde descent through Doddington and Newnham. The rest is history as they say. Someday we'll make this a Wednesday ride.
