Another week of sunshine. As you can see from the photo we moved-40 metres. As we are staying for at least another 3 weeks we moved to a better site with a roof and garden. My sister Penny visited Kuranda last week so we had a good time catching up on family stuff. Weather is still great with 27degrees today. When we see the temp. at home it was not hard to decide to stay here. Off to another music session at the camp kitchen tonight.

Another quiet week in sunshine. Visited Lake Barrine yesterday. This is a volcanic crater filled with only rainwater and surrounded by rainforest. We last came here 27 years ago on the way to West. Australia. Did the tour on the same boat and the spot has lost nothing. One thing about aging most things are a new experience except for vague memories. Left early Sunday to Port Douglas Markets. Caught up with fellow with hat tent that we met at Innot Springs. Not much different from most other markets. Travelled on to Daintree via ferry. Beautiful drive with many stops for walks etc. Northern half very much 4wd country with creek crossings and very steep climbs on a rough road. Drove up to Emerald Falls about 20km from here yesterday. Weather is still good with small showers now and then but daytime temperatures are still in the mid 20's. Another great music night last night with a muso with guitar, banjo ukele had a great session with Murray (the regular entertainer).
