Two days in Capella with friends. Yesterday we visited the Pioneer Vallage. This is a homestead moved in as well as all the outbuildings. There are huge sheds full of tractors and other stuff plus a lot still to be restored. Well worth the visit.

Today Wingy took us to see Brownies saphire mine at Rubyvale. We actually dug and processed a couple of trailerloads and Denny has some stones to show. Unfortunately of no great value but Brownie showed us a yellow saphire that has been cut to 11 carats. It was over 40 carats raw and found only a metre from where we were digging.

Off to Roma tomorrow.
