Mount Abu- Wildlife sanctuary
There are many writings in which there is a connection of the Gurjars with Mount abu. Mount abu has a population of 22,152 and has an average literacy rate of 67%.
Orchids are found in Rajasthan only in the Mount abu wildlife sanctuary. There are bamboo forests in the south-west part of the sanctuary. Mount abu wildlife sanctuary has 3 species of wild roses. The sanctuary even has algae and bryophytes. Some of the animals found here are sambhar, jungle cat, small Indian civet, wolf, hyaena, jackal, Indian fox, common langur, wild boar, pangolin, common mongoose, Indian hare, porcupine and hedgehog. About 81 species of trees, 89 species of bushes, 28 species of climbers and 17 species of plants of medicinal importance are there in Mount abu wildlife sanctuary.
