Gulmarg- Tangmarg

Gulmarg is nestled in the Himalayan peaks, and thus offers magnificent views of the magnificent Himalayan range.

Gulmarg can be easily reached by bus or car in a matter of 2 hours from Srinagar. Tangmarg is a town in Jammu and Kashmir. It is a stop for buses and cars which come to Tangmarg, on the way to Gulmarg. The Tangmarg stop is important because there are no shops on the road from Tangmarg to Gulmarg. Other than that, there are also several restaurants and hotels of all grades in Tangmarg. Tangmarg has a post office, but it is not modernized or computerized as yet and is soon going to be renovated and turned into a model post office. All vehicles are allowed ahead of this point, but in the winters when there is heavy snowfall, heavy vehicles are not allowed beyond Tangmarg.
